Happy December everybody! I've been decorating the apartment with Christmas stuff I found in my grandma's basement. I guess everyone was allowed to rummage through and borrow stuff to decorate their own houses, so I took some of what was left and brought it over here. I think it looks delightfully seasonal. This seems like it's going to be somewhat of a busy week. This past weekend certainly was. Amy and I drove back from Florida in separate cars (b/c the trailer for the moving truck didn't end up working out). It was a very exhausting trip - 17 hours of driving! On Saturday Amy signed the lease to her new apartment on Tuscarawas Avenue, over near Warther's. I'm excited to see how she's going to arrange things and decorate because she brought nearly all of her worldly possessions. So anyway, this week I'm starting training at Telco, the telemarketing place in the plaza where the Dover Flea Market is. This should be a good supplemental job to the random hours I get at the nursing home. On Friday I'm going to Akron and Cleveland with Michael and his dad on their annual Hungarian Christmas trip. We will stop at various Hungarian delis, bakeries, and restaurants, feast on delicious Hungarian foods, and perhaps go see the Christmas lights at the Cleveland Zoo. Saturday I have to attend the annual St. John's bell choir Christmas breakfast and gift exchange. In the evening is the Hennis Christmas party, which I'm excited for because I'm dragging Michael along. And Sunday is more bell choir practice I believe. Today Michael and I helped set up Christmas trees at the nursing home, and then I took all our recycling to Buehler's, and now I am enjoying Chef Boyardee ravioli and watching the cat perched on the window observing the cars go by. I suppose that's it for now. |
