Here's an idea for a xanga topic: What strange food combinations do you enjoy?

I like milk with pretty much anything, but people tend to think I'm weird for liking
Milk and pizza
Milk and cake
Milk and sausage
Milk and Doritos

I also like

Bologna and mayo
Oatmeal with syrup
Ritz crackers and chocolate syrup
Tuna with mustard

That's all I can think of for now.

Right now my life revolves around Telco and making money for Christmas gifts.  So far working there has been a positive experience.  I enjoy many of my coworkers, we get to listen to music, and there are plenty of incentives to make us want to generate leads (the people we call and persuade to answer a set of background questions so that our agents can get in touch with them to talk about insurance quotes).  We sometimes get hour lunches or bonus leads during the first hour of work, and we get several breaks so that the smokers can go outside and enjoy a cigarette and the non-smokers can check their calls and texts.  The bad parts of the job are the long hours and the uncertainty that goes along with not knowing if you're going to get enough leads to have a decent average.  Several people have gotten sent home for a few days at a time without pay since they weren't generating enough leads, and one of the people in my training group was fired yesterday for not getting any leads several days in a row.  It seems a bit drastic and unfair.

So...that's my life right now.

Work at Telco's been going okay.  I've been making friends with a lot of fun and weird people.  Speaking of which, one of my coworkers told me yesterday she had been on an episode of Dr. Phil!  The episode was called "Love Triangle" because the girl had been having an affair with her ex-husband, and his new wife wanted to take them on the show.  Here is a clip I found (the girl I know is the one with the dark hair):

Boooooo...I hate UTIs.

Happy December everybody!  I've been decorating the apartment with Christmas stuff I found in my grandma's basement.  I guess everyone was allowed to rummage through and borrow stuff to decorate their own houses, so I took some of what was left and brought it over here.  I think it looks delightfully seasonal.

This seems like it's going to be somewhat of a busy week.  This past weekend certainly was.  Amy and I drove back from Florida in separate cars (b/c the trailer for the moving truck didn't end up working out).  It was a very exhausting trip - 17 hours of driving!  On Saturday Amy signed the lease to her new apartment on Tuscarawas Avenue, over near Warther's.  I'm excited to see how she's going to arrange things and decorate because she brought nearly all of her worldly possessions.

So anyway, this week I'm starting training at Telco, the telemarketing place in the plaza where the Dover Flea Market is.  This should be a good supplemental job to the random hours I get at the nursing home.  On Friday I'm going to Akron and Cleveland with Michael and his dad on their annual Hungarian Christmas trip.  We will stop at various Hungarian delis, bakeries, and restaurants, feast on delicious Hungarian foods, and perhaps go see the Christmas lights at the Cleveland Zoo.  Saturday I have to attend the annual St. John's bell choir Christmas breakfast and gift exchange.  In the evening is the Hennis Christmas party, which I'm excited for because I'm dragging Michael along.  And Sunday is more bell choir practice I believe.

Today Michael and I helped set up Christmas trees at the nursing home, and then I took all our recycling to Buehler's, and now I am enjoying Chef Boyardee ravioli and watching the cat perched on the window observing the cars go by.

I suppose that's it for now.
